Archery and Rapier Champs on Sunday! And Timing

Hello Debatable Lands! Here’s your last reminder! 🙂

The Baronial Archery Championship is THIS Sunday, 6/23. The Championship will begin at 11:30 am, with sign-in starting at 11am. Lord
Skjoldrbjorn has created quite the shoots, so be prepared to test your mettle! [Note: Youth archery champs is on 6/30]

The Baronial Rapier Championship is THIS Sunday, 6/23. We will be starting the Tournament at 2pm to give everyone a chance to warm up and sign in with the MOL. It will be a round robin or bear pit to choose a final four in a double elimination.

These pageantry, sportsmanship, and camaraderie of our Championships is quite the experience, as anyone attending or participating in Heavy or TW two weeks ago will tell you. It was heart-lifting, and we expect these contests will be, too. We look forward to seeing spectators and participants show the best of the Barony tomorrow. See you there!

( And don’t forget sunscreen)

There are a bunch of things you could make with just one day in the shop, so what do you want to make and where do we want to work? Do you have any questions or updates about your personal projects to share? Join us at the Oakland Panera from 7pm to 9pm on Thursday, June 20th. Archery tomorrow

Good evening Debatable lands,

Archery tomorrow will be dependent on the weather. At this moment it’s calling for thunderstorms and rain for all of practice.

Please check the blog and Facebook tomorrow morning for updates.

Thrown Weapons Cancelled

Konichiwa Debatable Lands! I am cancelling Thrown weapons for tomorrow due to a few reasons. 1: The weather doesn’t appear that it will cooperate, as it is expected to rain all night and into the whole day tomorrow. 2: My truck blew a brake line and is out of commission for the moment. Which wouldn’t be so bad, except that it is in Fombell…… with the targets and stands in the bed. All these factors seem to conspire against being able to have practice. However, I would like this opportunity to guage interest in maybe having a weekday practice in the evening, up at my place. I was thinking Wednesday or Thursdays. say around 630 or so. This would be a formal practice, with royal rounds to be thrown and much practice to be had. I was even thinking of maybe doing some clinics in this format. I will be posting a survey poll in facebook, but you can also let me know of your interest via email at n.mares75@outlook.com, or on facebook instant messager. Look for it soon. See you all next week.
