From Kingdom Seneschal – Debatable Lands 12th Night Cancelled; other events TBD; practices/small gatherings can occur
Folks,
With a heavy heart I must announce that, in consultation with Duke Christopher, Deputy Kingdom Seneschal for Pandemics, and Their Majesties, we are canceling Debatable Lands 12th Night.
As I am sure you know and can see in the news, the Omicron variant is nearly everywhere in AEthelmearc. We have become too uncomfortable with the risk that a large, mostly inside event could become a super spreader event. I am sorry, this must be disappointing for many of you.
We have not yet canceled other events happening this month – His Grace is hoping that we see our numbers coming down soon. We will let you know if we have to cancel those as well. We are hoping to make those decisions at least a week in advance.
We also do think that the risk of smaller practices and gatherings are less risky (not no risk, but less risk) and are going to continue to let those continue to happen. Please continue to follow the COVIDSafe rules and AEthelmearc’s masking requirements (which can be summarized as everyone wears masks inside at all times, no exceptions for those over the age of 2, outdoors – vaccinated folks can go without masks).

Throwing Practice
GOOD NEW NOBLE POPULACE! This Sunday, January 2nd, at our new site there will be indoor throwing practice!!!
Lady Elss has been kind enough to offer her services as Marshal for the day and the fee for lanes has been donated as a New Years gift! Bring your gear and join us!
The fifth floor of Ace Axe Throwing 145 E 8th Ave, Homestead, PA 15120. Parking is allowed in the Aldi’s lot behind the building.
Please note the time change for winter practices. Practice will be held 11am to 3pm.

Fencing Practice Sunday January 2 at 11 AM
Greetings Debatable Lands,
Fencing practice will be held this Sunday, January 2nd, at our new site. The fifth floor of Ace Axe Throwing 145 E 8th Ave, Homestead, PA 15120. Parking is allowed in the Aldi’s lot behind the building.
Please note the time change for winter practices. Practice will be held 11am to 3pm.
If loaner gear is needed please email fencingmarshal@debatablelands.org no later than Saturday.
All persons attending will need to provide either proof of vaccination, or a negative Covid test done within the prior 72 hours.
All attendees must wear masks at all times while indoors regardless of vaccination status. This includes while fighting.
There is also no eating allowed indoors.
