Exchequer call for letters

Good evening Debatable Lands

My first term as exchequer will be coming to an end at our business meeting in August. I am formally putting out a call for letters but I will be seeking a second term. Letters will be due to the seneschal the last day of Pennsic, August 11th. They can be handed in in person or emailed to seneschal@debatablelands.org If you do have any questions or interest in the office but do not think you are ready to throw your hat in the ring yet, please contact me and I will be happy to work with you so that you feel prepared for the next election.

Thrown weapons practice

Konichiwa Debatable Lands!! Tomorrow, July 7, we will try to have practice from 11-2pm. As long as the ground isn’t soup and there is not electrical currents flying through the air. I will be posting here otherwise. See you there!

Trailer move in day

Good evening Debatable Lands!

The new trailer is on site at Cooper’s lake but the old trailer is still holding our Pennsic encampment supplies hostage!

We are going to ride into battle and slay the beast on Monday July 8th and reclaim our treasured artifacts!

We wilI be moving everything starting at 6:30pm and while we have a team anyone wanting to join our party would be appropriated.

Sunday Archery Practice

Join us for Archery Practice at Highland Park. This Sunday, July 7th.

11am – 2pm. Bring a water bottle and your wish and will for archery.

YOUTH CHAMPIONS

On Sunday June 30 new Youth Champions were selected at Baronial Practice.

Otto Brandulfrsson had served as Youth Archery Champion for the past year. He had worked with the marshals to design a shoot to determine the next Youth Archery Champion. 4 Youths came forth to challenge for the title, and Nicholas William was proclaimed the new Youth Archery Champion.

Fox had served as the Baronial Youth Fighting Champion for the past year, and designed a tournament to determine his successor. This year youth from all 3 divisions entered the tournament. Bree of the Debatable Lands was proclaimed the victor of the tournament. Their Excellencies then asked Xavier to stand as Their Division 1Youth Champion, Bree to stand as Their Division 2 Youth Champion and Ethan to stand as Their Division 3 Champion.

Pennsic Baronial Reception – Sunday, Aug 4th, 5pm AE Royal

Hello Debatable Lands!

Just a quick note to invite all Debatable Landers and friends (the more, the merrier!) to the Debatable Lands Baronial Reception at Pennsic.

Come socialize, eat, and enjoy Court with your friends and neighbors! A light dinner will be provided by the Food Guild, led by THL Elss.

When: Sunday, August 4th, 5pm – 8pm
Where: AEthelmearc Royal Encampment at Pennsic (next to Chirurgeons)
Who: Everyone is invited!
Featuring: Baronial Court, time tentatively 7pm, plus a quick Royal drop-in to send friends to vigils
Food: Light dinner provided. We would also love to have food and drink donations.

Also, we’ll be “passing the hat” to fund raise for the Barony’s new trailer!

Youth Practice

Hi everyone! There will not be youth combat practice this Sunday, July 6th. Fox and I will be up north visiting family this weekend. We will be having practice on July 14th & July 21st at Washington Blvd.

4th of July Archery Practice

That’s right folks. We’re having practice tomorrow morning, and we’re aiming to start at 10am. Highland Park. See you there. 😉 We’ll stay there till 1pm or as long as we feel like shooting.
