Agincourt
October 19-21, 2018
“This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be rememberèd—
We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother..”
Nobles! Join Us! The feast of St. Crispin is upon us and the Barony Marche
of the Debatable Lands wishes you to celebrate with us at the Twelfth
Agincourt event!
The event will be held at Camp Bucoco 150 Bu Co Co Lane, Slippery Rock, PA
16057. The site will open at 4 p.m. Friday 19 October 2018 and everyone must
be offsite by noon on Sunday, 21 October 2018.
Heavy Weapons Combatants and Fencers! Take the field and fight the battles
as your ancestors did on this day. Noble combat shall rule the day until
your arms ache from your weapons. Scenarios will include historic battles
based on Agincourt.
And never fear, we WILL be having our famous Tavern Brawl, please
considering bringing a parrying item. In previous years, we’ve seen giant
turkey legs, mugs etc. Be creative as there will be a prize for the best
tavern themed parrying item!!
We will also have Thrown Weapons, Archery, and Youth Fighting!
Artisans of our Sylvan Kingdom! We will be holding our popular yearly Arts
and Sciences competition. This year our coordinator will be THL Luceta di
Cosimo, who will be assisted by Lady Alianora. We are looking for both
participants and judges. This is a perfect opportunity to enter your
possible Ice Dragon entry and get feedback on it with plenty of time to act
on that advice.
We will also have a salon so that you can gather with other Artisans and
Scientists to hang out, share ideas, and share your excitement about your
particular art or science.
This year we will also have classes! Mistress Graidhne ni Rua will be
coordinating the classrooms. Come and share your knowledge with others. If
you’re new to classroom-style teaching, this is a perfect opportunity to do
so in a supportive and friendly environment.
We have some other things in store – including a Quest and Bardic
Activities! This event has something for everyone, you won’t want to miss
anything!
The food, as always, will be delicious and plentiful. The Head Cook is
Maighster Liam mac an tSoir with assistance from Lady Arthes Macleod and
Lady Alethea Cowle. If you have dietary needs/concerns, please contact Liam
