Court Report for Agincourt
November 3, AS XLVII (2012)

Here begins the record of the Court of their Excellencies Liam and Constance, Baron and Baroness of these Debatable Lands, on November 3rd, Anno Societatis 47, at the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands Agincourt Event, Lord Pavel Dudoladov reporting herald.

Their Excellencies first requested Mistress Arianna of Wynthrope and Tiberius, Their Youth Champion, who recounted the tourney for the new Baronial Youth Champion of that day. Guion ab Willim was declared the winner and new Baronial Youth champion, presented with a scroll illuminated by Elizabeth Arrowsmyth and calligraphed by Rachel Dalicieux. His second will be Eiiden abdul Salam.

Their Excellencies then called forth Lord Charles de Cayeux, who ran a tourney that day to determine his successor as Baronial Fencing Champion. The victor of that tourney was Don William Paris, who was presented with a scroll illuminated by Elizabeth Arrowsmyth and calligraphed by Rachel Dalicieux. His second will be Mistress Fredeburg von Katzenellenbogen.

Their Excellencies then requested the presence of Eckhart von Insterberg, who ran a tourney that day to determine his successor as Baronial Heavy Fighting Champion. The victor of that tourney was Baroness Ariella of Thornbury, who was presented with a scroll illuminated by Odrianna vander Brugghe and calligraphed by Kieran MacRae. Her second will be Baron Ogami Arashimoto no Shirou.

Their Excellencies the called forth Lord Ishiyama Gen’tarou Yori’ie, who ran an Arts and Sciences competition that day. The winner was declared to be Lady Sumayya al Ghaziyah for her intricate leather work and it was remarked upon as this was Lady Sumayya first competition entry many great works were expected of her in the future.

Then the presence of Master William de Montegilt was requested. Their Excellencies spoke of his dedication at Pennsic fighting in every battle, as well as in several tourneys. Thus, they awarded him a Red Comet with a scroll illuminated by Etain inghen Cearnaigh and calligraphed by Kieran MacRae.

Anne von Schmetterling was invited forth by their Excellencies. Their Excellencies spoke of her frequent attendance at thrown weapons practice and her victory in a novice tourney at Pennsic. Thus, They did award her a Red Comet, presenting her with a scroll by Odrianna vander Brugghe.

Arghall O'Breaslan was then called forward, his valiance in many battles was noted as well as his efforts towards becoming a thrown weapons marshall and thus Their Excellencies inducted him into the order of the Red Comet, presenting him with a scroll illuminated by Kazi en Kazi and Kieran MacRae and calligraphed by Kieran MacRae.

Their Excellencies then called forward Odrianna vander Brugghe. They thanked for her service to the barony notably for her work as Signet and for running the Scriptorium, awarding her a gold comet, but additionally her talents as a cook and teacher of the scribal arts could not be ignored and therefore she was also awarded a Comet Blue/Silver. She was presented with two scrolls illuminated by the many hands of Anna Leigh, Raven Whitehart, Alaric MacConnal, Rachel Dalicieux, Alexandra Aks, Kathryn Tanzel, Alime bint Yorgi, Isabel Fleuretan, Kris Gilibari, Vilante de Luna, and Elss of Augsburg and calligraphed by the hands of Kameshima Zentarou Umakai, Alethea Cowel, and Kieran MacRae.

There being no further business the Court of Their Excellencies, Liam and Constance, Baron and Baroness of the Debatable Lands was closed.

Additionally, there was an omission from the court report of Their Excellencies' Court at the Baronial Birthday celebration, on May 26th, Anno Societatis 47. THLord Kameshima Zentarou Umakai was inducted into the order of the Gold Comet for his work as scribe and herald in the barony and was thusly presented with a scroll by Lady Isabel Fleuretan in recognition of such.

Also, Their Excellencies held a brief court at Their Baronial Harvest Revel on November 11th, Anno Societatis 47, in which they awarded Lady Muirghein Gealbhain a Comet Blue/Silver for her work and skill in creating the crossbow/scroll for Urho Waltterinen's elevation. The scroll is to be forthcoming.
