Court Report for Kingdom for a Stage
February 15, AS XLVIII (2014)

Here begins the report of the court of Uilliam and Constance, Baron and Baroness of the Debatable Lands, at the Kingdom for a Stage event 15 February AS 48, with the permission of Their Sylvan Majesties Timothy and Gabriel, Jorundr hinn Rotinn, Comet Pursuivant, reporting.

Their Excellencies wished to thank everybody for attending today, and hoped that they had fun. His Excellency expressed his joy at ow well the event had gone, as he had dreamed of running this kind of event for years. He further wished to thank Their Majesties for attending and gracing this event with Their bardic championship.

Their Excellencies invited Ishiyama roku-i Gen'tarou Yori'ie to address the populace. He wished to thank everybody who came to support the Arts and Sciences of the Barony, specifically the bardic arts, in his role as Arts and Sciences minister of the Barony. He further wished to remind people of the magnet fundraiser he is currently running to raise funds for the Barony.

Their Excellencies would next be pleased to have the attendance of Lady Elizabeth Parker. She has done much performing, both with the Debatable Choir and i Genessii, and this had brought much joy to Their Excellencies and the populace in general, for this it pleased Their Excellencies to award her a Blue/Silver Comet. Their Excellencies next summoned Lady Violante de Luna to appear before Them. It had come to Their attention that Violante had been performing with i Genessii for quite a while and this was good. Their Excellencies decided that this made her worthy of a Blue/Silver Comet, which They bestowed upon her. The scroll was illuminated by Odriana vander Brugghe with calligraphy by Kieran MacRae.

Lord David Chadwyck was summoned to appear before Their Excellencies. David had been making himself of service to the barony and the society for quite a while. He is a warranted fencing marshal, serving as baronial deputy fencing marshal and running practices when needed. He has also long been a prominent figure at information point, as well as lending a hand wherever needed. This is the type of behavior that it pleases Their Excellencies to reward, and thus They awarded him a Gold Comet. The scroll was calligraphed by Mistress Arianna of Wynthrope and illunimated by Lady Anna Leigh.

Their Excellencies would next be attended by Sir Kadan Chakhilghan Ger on Echen. Kadan has long supported the fighting community as he trains fighters both new and those who are experienced. For this Their Excellencies were pleased to bestow a Gold Comet on him. The scroll is illuminated by Odriana vander Brugghe with calligraphy by Kieran MacRae.

Their Excellencies hoped that everyone had a good time. It was also nice to see the attendance of many of those who might not normally attend this kind of event.
