"When the spring comes, and my blood heats up, I want nothing more than to raid and fight." — Björn Ironside
The Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands invites everyone to don their furs, pull on their woolens, and join us for Víkingaþing (Viking Thing) at Camp Bucoco (150 Bu-co-co Lane, Slippery Rock, PA 16057) on 18 March 2022.
Our Marshal-in-Charge, THL Guillaume le Noir du Bordeaux will be holding a Hjolmgangr tournament and some combat scenerios to warm the blood and build an appetite for the feast to come.
Our Thrown Weapons marshal, Lord Meinulf Grimsson, will have his range open and will have some exciting themed competitions planned for the day.
For those of you who enjoy the gentle arts, we are planning arts and sciences activities, including classes that will be held in the Preston Center during the day. There is also hiking available on Bucoco Lane past the Preston Center if you would like to enjoy the crisp air and the earth awakening around you.
After your day of fighting, throwing, learning, and/or hiking there will be a dinner prepared by Lord Eamonn na Laimhe (Eamon Stanley), who will be mentored by Signora Benedicta di Venezia (Harper). They will be preparing a Viking themed feast for 40 people. If you have any food sensitivities or allergies, please contact Eamonn via email at email@example.com at least two weeks before the event so that he may accommodate you.
The event steward is Meesteres Odriana vander Brugghe (Jennifer Bahor) who can be reached via email (preferred) at firstname.lastname@example.org or via phone/text at 412-486-0566 (no calls after 9p, please).
