Æthelmearc Grand Tournament

The Report of the Court of Their Excellencies Brandubh et Hilderun, Baron and Baroness of the Barony-March of the Debatable Lands, held at Aethelmearc Grand Tournament in the EIghth Day of February anno societatis 54, Maighster Kieran MacRae, Comet Pursuivant.

Afternoon Court

Their Excellencies presented Meestress Odriana vander Brugghe with a Gold Comet for her service to the Barony as Seneschal. Scroll by Lady Tierrany Rose Orre.

Evening Court

Their Excellencies invited his Excellency Liam mac an t’Saoir, the autocrat of the day to come forward and thank his staff for the event. Their Excellencies further called forth Lady Arthes MacLeod, the cook for the event, and presented her with a gift of salt for her delicious side board.

Their Excellencies and Maighster Liam mac an t’Soir, the Heavy Weapons Marshal, then called for the winners of the many tournaments held that day. For the Heavy Weapons Lists, They presented Sir Oliver Sutton as the winner of the Sword and Shield Tournament, Sir Arnthor inn Sterki was the victor of the Great Weapon List. Sir Arnthor inn Sterki also proved victorious in the 2 Weapon List. Each presented with a scroll by the hands of the THLady Rachel Dalicieux and THLady Ceindrech verch Elidir.

For the Fencing Tournaments, Don Donnan the Solitary, the Fencing Marshal, presented Lord Mathias al Tabai as the victor of the Sword and Parry Object List. Don Donnan the Solitary was the victor of the Single Sword List, and Lord Mathias al Tabai won the 2 Sword List. Each presented with a scroll by the hands of the THLady Rachel Dalicieux and THLady Ceindrech verch Elidir.

Their Excellencies incited Maestro Luigi and Mario to come forth accompanied by other members of their Syndicate. Master Creador Twyne Dragon then formally offered a belt to THLady Ceindrech verch Elidir as an offer to become his student and join his syndicate of arts, sciences and service. THLady Ceindrech accepted Creador’s offer to become his student, and was greeted by her brothers and sisters of the syndicate as Mario, proud associate of the Maestro Luigi.

Their Excellencies then asked all scribes who had prepared scrolls for the court to come forward and presented each with a token of thanks for the generosity of time and skills.

Their Excellencies thanked all for attending the event, especially the staff for the hall, lunch, and tournaments, and further wished all safe travels on the way home.
