Court Report for Investiture of Violeta and Prima
Final Court of Brandubh and Hildarun
December 16, AS LVIII (2023)

The report of the Final Court of Brandubh et Hilderun, Baron and Baroness of the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands held on the 16th day of December Anno Societatis 58 at the Investiture of their heirs, in the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands, as recorded by Gwendolyn the Graceful, Brehyres, Meistr-y-gân, Comet Herald.

After greeting the people, Their Excellencies recognized The Honorable Lady Elss of Augsburg with an Gold Comet (service) in recognition of her long service to the Barony, including providing day boards, performing with i Genesii, and serving as Arts & Sciences minister as well as event steward. Next, Their Excellencies sought The Honorable Lord Pavel Dudoladov to bestow upon him a Silver Comet (Arts) for his various contributions to the Arts, including the Choir, the Consort, i Genesii, and serving as dance minister. Their Excellencies then invited Mistress Irene von Schmetterling, recipient of the first ever Comet, to accept an Iron Comet (martial) from their hands, to recognize her skill upon the fencing field as well as her teaching of the art of defense. Following this, Their Excellencies requested Lærifaðir Jorundr hinn rotinn to attend them to receive a Silver Comet (Arts) for his accomplishments as a cook and brewer. Scroll by Baron Sasson de Sancta Victoria.

Next, Their Excellencies wished for the presence of Oyama Michiharu, to present him with a Gold Comet (Service) for the support he has provided to the Barony, including setup and teardown at events, assistance to his lady for arts and sciences nights, help at vigils, and the care and feeding of artisans. Their Excellencies also awarded Guntrum Brauer an Iron Comet (Martial) in absentia, for his skill in fencing. Scroll by The Honorable Lady Nichola Beese.

Their Excellencies then received Baroness Kara Ivarsdottir to accept a Comettus Amicus (Friend of the Barony) on behalf of Kalen Karusson, who was not present, in recognition of all his activities within the Barony, including archery, thrown weapons, assistance at events, and serving within the royal retinue. Next, Their Excellencies requested the presence of Lord Carl MacBrandubh and Lord Otto Brandufarson, to award each with a Purple Comet (youth), in recognition of their eight years of support and service, and sherpa-ing for Baroness Mom and Baron Dad. Following this, Their Excellencies invited forward all those scribes and wordsmiths who had contributed to the day's court, to present them with tokens of appreciation.

At the conclusion of this, Their Excellencies received Lady Elizabeth of the Debatable Lands and Phat Mandee, who presented them and the populace with a song in Their Excellencies' honor.

Their Excellencies then addressed the populace, explaining that the list of people to thank from the previous eight years was far too long for the time they had available, but that they did wish to acknowledge the contributions and actions of a few people by name. For each, they gave tokens of appreciation in the form of meteorites and personal gifts:

After this, Their Excellencies asked all members of the Barony in attendance to stand or raise their hand in acknowledgement if they had performed any of the following areas of service: Marshalls, MOLs, Heralds, practice, meeting, or guild hosts; event stewards; cooks; scribes; champions; Zoomerators; Aetherial heralds; officers; chatelaines; makers of largesse; choir members; i Genesii members; other guild members; event staff; parents of youth participants: To each of these gentles, Their Excellencies extended thanks and credit, for each and all made their reign possible.

Finally, Her Excellency addressed His Excellency, saying that he had been her bulwark and the reason she could serve as Baroness, helping her and taking on the burden of leadership with her.

There being no further business, the Court of Their Excellencies was closed, and thus, the reign of Brandubh et Hildarun, eighth Baronage of the Debatable Lands and Last of the Pandemic Baronies, came to its end.
