Pursuivant Online Office Hours TOMORROW

This is a reminder from your local Comet Pursuivant that the very first Heraldic On-line Office Hours begins tomorrow, from 7:00-9:00pm. I invite all who are interested in getting heraldry, who are working on their heraldry, who already are waiting for a response on their heraldry, and of course other heralds to pop in and join me for questions and answers about things, you guessed it, heraldic.

The link to this Google hangout will be posted on the blog and you can also contact me by email at herald(at)debatablelands.org. Thank you all very much!

Comet Pursuivant Office Hours

Comet Pursuivant Office Hours

Mon, May 1, 7:00 PM EDT

Do you have questions about heraldry? Are you searching for ideas for a device, or searching for the right name for your persona? Are you interested in getting involved in heraldry? Join me online and ask all the questions you have during this bi-monthly 2-hour online hangout (the link will be posted a week before and a day before office hours begin) and I will do all I can to help you! Other heralds are welcome to join, assist, or observe!

Fencing Practice

This Sunday we resume fencing practice at the Washington Blvd site at 1 PM.

There will be loaner gear for fencing and cut n thrust available for those interested.

As a glance to the future, there will be no practice May 21 as that is the weekend of War Practice, and I will be unavailable to run practice May 28, which is Memorial Day weekend, and am looking for a marshal to run practice in my stead. If you are able to run practice that week let me know.

Fiber Guild Meeting – Tomorrow

This is a reminder that tomorrow is the BMDL Fiber Guild meeting,
Tuesday, April 18th at 7PM, at Songbird Artistry, 4316 Penn Ave. in Lawrenceville.
Back by popular demand, the topic will be SPINNING! Have you ever wanted to learn how spin? Come to the fiber guild meeting and see just how fun (and easy) spinning is. If you already know how to spin, come too! If you have no interest in spinning, but like to hang out with fiber minded people, and drink tea, you should join us, too!

Loaner gear (drop spindles and wheels) will be available, and roving will be provided as well.

(Drinking tea is encouraged but not mandatory. Snacks will occur, please contact me about any dietary restrictions)

ALSO

BMDL Fiber Guild now has loaner spindles! We got 12 top whorl spindles from Fiber Artist Supply company in Ohio to be used by the fiber guild and barony members as needed. So, if you want to give spinning a try, teaching a class, or doing a demo, please contact the guild and feel free to borrow them. We will be trying them out at the fiber guild meeting tomorrow.
