Hi all from Niall!
Due to many of our archers attending Scarlet Guard Inn this weekend, I am cancelling our regular archery practice this Sunday, June 2nd.
I will happily set up the range on Tuesday, June 4th, starting at 5:30 pm, for a mid-week archery practice for anyone who can attend, and we’ll go until it’s dark or we drop, weather permitting.

Bring out yer Cookies (clang), Bring out yer Cookies (clang). More about cookies later. This Saturday is the Barony Birthday celebration. The Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands turned 50 years old back on April 6th. We are having an all day celebration this Saturday, May 25th, from 9am until 8pm at the Barn at Old Economy Park, 5 Forcey Drive, Baden, PA 15005. See the announcement for full details including the schedule.
Their excellencies Baronessa Violeta and Praetoria Prima will choose their champions for heavy, fencing, archery, and thrown weapons in the tournaments that day. Come and participate or just cheer. If you would prefer medieval lawn games, Lady Finé Failain will have lawn games outside for you to enjoy. There is also an A&S display with the theme Something Old, Something New. See the post about the display if you would like to participate. There will be other A&S activities for you to enjoy. There is a history display assembled by Mistress Ts’vee’a bas Tseepora Levi for you to enjoy. There is an area for merchants to set up along side the other activities. There are a limited number of spots. For more details and to reserve a spot, please contact Arianna of Wynthrope, ariannawyn@gmail.com. There is a history court in early afternoon with regalia parade, a history roll call, birthday cake and song. Later there will be Baronial court. In case you are wondering, there will be food and drink served all day long. Head Cook is Master Alastar Scott MacCrummin. Now about those cookies. Because cookie tables are a local tradition, we will have a cookie table. It will be available as soon as there are cookies on the table. So Bring out yer Cookies! You should also bring a pop-up if you have one, chairs or a blanket, sun screen, bug spray, and your appetite.

Due to potentially inclement weather, as well as transportation issues on my end, we will move the mid-week archery practice originally scheduled for Tuesday, 5/14 to Thursday 5/16, starting around 5:30 pm and going til we’re done or til it gets dark.
Also, a reminder that due to War Practice this weekend, our regular Sunday practice is cancelled.

Hi all, from Niall!
Now that the days are long enough, we’re going to be recommencing official mid-week archery practices at the Washington Blvd. location. Range will be open from 5:30 pm until 8:00 pm this week on Tuesday, May 14th, weather permitting. If we get rained out, we will have it at the same time on Thursday, May 16th. Watch the blog, Facebook page, and e-mail list for cancellations.
A quick clarification regarding tomorrow’s Sky List tournament and the Scarlet Guard Challenge: you do not have to be able to attend the Scarlet Guard Inn event on May 31 and June 1st in order to compete in the Sky List tournament. If tomorrow’s winner is unable to attend the event, the barony’s representative for the Challenge will be chosen by Their Excellencies and the Seneschal from the competitors who are able to attend.
I called off last weekend to avoid the marathon, so we still have a bunch of light sanding followed by staining.
It will be easier to do the sanding/staining in the garage/driveway, so please meet here at 1105 Shady starting at about 1pm.
If the weather is any good next weekend, we can do the finishing at War Practice.
Hello Debatable Lands and friends! This Sunday at martial practices will be our next round of Stellar Tournaments! Tournaments will be held roughly in the middle of each practice time, with time for regular practice before and after. Reminder, this Sunday is also Mother’s Day, so there will be additional zoo traffic, particularly in the morning. Please plan accordingly.
