Hello Debatable Lands!
Do you wish you could practice your archery more than once a week? Well you’re in luck! This week on Wednesday June 14th from 5:00pm to 8:00pm, Lord Godzimir the Golden will be holding another weekday evening archery practice at the Washington Boulevard site.
Come on out and sharpen your skills as we shoot until the sun goes down!
This Sunday, April 23rd from 11am to 2pm, we will once again be holding archery practice at the Highland Park practice site. During this week’s practice we will also see the return of the Stellar Tournament series with the first Sky List of the season!
There will be a qualifier shoot happening from 11am until around 12:30pm and then the tournament will begin shortly after. Join us for a fun day of archery and competition as we determine who will be named the next Vindex Coelorum, the Defender of the Sky!

Archers of the Debatable Lands! We’ve got some fun events coming up in the next few weeks. Here’s the schedule coming up:
Oct. 23rd – Mounted Archery Clinic – An introductory clinic for our archers to learn how to shoot from horesback! For more details, check the event page here.

Oct. 30th – Halloween Shoot! – Everyone is encouraged to wear your costumes and make and bring your own spooky targets. We’ll shoot at novelty ranges and come up with fun competitions for candy prizes!
Nov. 6th – Normal practice resumes!
Nov. 13th – Baronial Harvest Revel Social Meeting

Nov. 20th – Another regular practice. (Weather depending)

Today’s archery practice is canceled.
It looks like the rain wins this week. I’ll be spending the day repairing the loaner equipment and making new targets instead. Hopefully we’ll be back out there next week.

Hello archers!
Archery practice is still happening today at the Washington Blvd practice site from 11am to 2pm. We’ll have to keep an eye on the weather and we may have to pack up early if the rain gets any lightning mixed in, but other than that it should be another fun day of shooting!

With the current weather, lightning in the forecast, and a soggy practice site, I’ve decided to cancel archery practice for today. Enjoy the extended post-Pennsic rest. We’ll be back at it next week.

Pittsburgh weather sometimes makes fools of us all. Tonight’s mid-week archery practice has been canceled. But never fear! We will be back to try again tomorrow!
Join us at the Washington Blvd practice site tomorrow June 23rd from 5:30-8:30pm for an evening of archery practice.

Greetings archers of the Debatable Lands!
I am officially putting out a call for marshals-in-training for target archery in our Barony! Some of you have already reached out to me and some of you have already begun training, but I would like to get a definitive headcount of all who are interested in becoming marshals. The duties of an archery marshal include:
The Marshal’s Handbook can be found on the Kingdom Earl Marshal page at marshal.aethelmearc.org. In the headings at the top of the page, the society wide handbook is under Society Rules and the Kingdom handbook is under Policies. All marshals and MITs must know both rulesets.
If you would like to be an archery marshal then please send me a message either via facebook, or via email at archerymarshal at debatablelands dot org.
*Note: You must be a member of the SCA with an active membership in order to be a marshal.
