Hello, fencers! This Sunday, we will have a C&T fencing focused practice in preparation for the Kingdom Cut and Thrust Championship at Agincourt next weekend. Bring your C&T gear if you’ve got it!

Greetings Debatable Lands!

How are we all doing? It’s been a quick two years and my term as baronial chatelaine is coming to an end.

As per our bylaws, I need to ask the populace for letters of intention to be baronial chatelaine. If you are interested, or know someone interested, please reach  to the following email addresses:
Seneschal (at) debatablelands.org
Baron (at) debatablelands.org
Chatelaine (at) debatablelands.org

It is my intention to also run again for a second term, but please don’t let that dissuade you from running! The more people we have to choose from the better!

Yours in Service,
Svava Jórudóttir

Hey Brewers;

Dont forget tonight is our monthly meeting. It will be hosted at Muirgheal and Jorundrs home at 6:30 pm. That address is in the dark pages or you can send a private message for it if you are not on the email list. We will have dinner and talk about the upcoming months and group projects.

Muirgheal

This is welcome to everyone; even if you are not a guild member but have an interest.

Reminder,  Debatable Lands business meeting is tonight at 8. This is, I hope, the last entirely virtual meeting before we move to a regular space at Ace Throwing, but we will continue to have a virtual option. As always meetings are open to all, and everyone can vote except on financial matters or if an officer calls for an officer only vote. Tonight we will be finalizing plans for Agincourt and looking forward to our next several events. If you are interested please join us.

Here’s the link for tonight:

Happy Scribetober, all! Salve Accolens! It’s Bess, your Baronial Signet inviting you to a Scribal Night on Monday, October 14th.

Our most treasured Elinor and Michi will be opening their space for this event, same as the monthly Baronial A&S nights. We will be gathering 6:30-9:30pm in Stanton Heights to parallel play with our projects, or just to ask questions, support and socialize.

Have you made an award recommendation lately for your fellow barony member? Now is a great time to send an email to their excellencies at baronage@debatablelands.org or via the google form here: http://www.debatablelands.org/award-recommendation.php

I anticipate having assignments to hand out for upcoming events from Prima and Violetta very soon, so this could be a great time to pick up an assignment, a scroll case, and even some blanks, if you’d like to do so. Looking forward to catching up with all who attend!

If there is interest in a zoom link, let me know no later than Sunday, October 13th at noon. Thanks!

YIS, THLady Lisabetta de Rossi

Harvest Revel is back! (mostly, but the roof isn’t safe yet, so no shooting off the roof or pumpkin toss this year, sorry). The baronesses would like a fall harvest themed potluck contest- keep in mind that Praetoria Prima cannot have mammal products, even lard. Fall jams and jellies, absolutely! Your fav squash soup, amazing! A pie with no lard, yum!

Come have fun with your friends, eat well, fight, fence, throw, shoot, hang inside with A&S… And of course, a short barony meeting.

Greetings, gentlefolk! You are cordially invited to the Debatable Lands twelfth night celebration on January 25th, 2025. Come for food and drinks, contests of skill, and a night of revelry with friends!

When and where: 9AM to 9PM, at North Park Lodge, North Ridge Drive, Allison Park, PA 15101

Activities:
Potluck food (bring a dish to share!)
The annual cookie contest
Drinks from our wonderful Brewer’s Guild
Baronial Bardic championships
Baronial A&S championships
Largesse competition
Auction of donated items, with proceeds going to the Barony (there will also be a barter zone)
The Debatable Lands social/business meeting
Dancing
Pillow fights
Shenanigans and merriment
How much does all of this cost? Absolutely nothing!

I have other questions! Contact the autocrat, Forveleth Dunde MKA Miranda Gavrin, at forveleth@gmail.com or 317-697-7883.

All martial practices regularly held at the park on Washington Blvd will be canceled for Sunday 9/29/24, due to expected rain. See you next week!

Guillaume

Hello fencers! Due to the impending rain, practice this Sunday is cancelled.

Hi all from Niall!
The remnants of Hurricane Helene are approaching, and it looks like the next few days are going to be rather soggy, if not particularly inclement, so archery practice for tomorrow is cancelled.
Next week’s practice (October 6th) will feature the next Stellar Tournament for Defender of the Sky.
