Menu for Agincourt Feast
Now speak I will a little more
Of craft, truly, that takes great lore
In court; that men call cookery,
That must be done in three degrees;
This meat roaster, pastry-cook, and potager,
And even the scholar that follows in company,
First to you I will show
The points of cookery, all by row,
Of Pottage, roasted meat, and bake-meat,
And small cookery, I won’t forget.
The names in table I shall set
The number in algorism above, without let,
In algorism that shall be written,
And the titles within on the same row.
-Liber Cure Cocorum, translation by Cindy Renfrow.
This is the feast for Agincourt 2017. All items are from the Liber Cure Cocorum, a poem on cookery believed to have been written during the time of Henry VI. There are vegetarian and gluten free options available, but I need to know how many people require this accommodation so I make enough. If anyone with tree nut allergies or dairy allergies will be attending, I will be able to accommodate you separately, if you contact me to let me know. As always, I will do my best to avoid cross-contamination, but given that the facilities themselves are not gluten free/nut free/dairy free/etc., I cannot guarantee that there will be no cross-contamination. To contact me, please email jenn.strobel@gmail.com or phone me at 412.213.8116 (no calls after 7p, please).

Archery On Sunday!
And we’re officially back from War! Come join us for some archery at Highland Park, this upcoming Sunday (Aug 20th). 11am to 2pm. Hope to see you there.
New Exchequer!
Please join me in welcoming Lady Arthes MacLeod, the new Exchequer for the Barony-Marche of the Debatable Lands and Lady Zianna beguy urdina de Zabaleta, her Deputy.
Many thanks for the work done by THL Hara Kikumatsu over the last five years. You will be a hard act to follow and I can not find sufficient words to express my appreciation for everything that you have done for the Barony. I know that Arthes and Zianna will continue the tradition of excellence that you established during your time as Exchequer.
Vivat to Hara for her service and Vivant to Arthes and Zianna for their service to come.

Last Call for Website Updates
Unto the Barony, greetings from Kameshima Webminister! With Pennsic XLVI now behind us, we may now, once again, start to look to the future. It is my intention, barring objection from the Officers or Kingdom Webminister, to publish the new website by the end of this month.
If I have previously spoken to you regarding content for which I am waiting, please get it to me as soon as possible or else the site will go live without it.
If you are an officer, guild contact or marshal, and have not yet checked your portion of the new site to confirm that all information there is accurate, please do so as soon as possible or else the site will go live with inaccurate information.
Thank you for your cooperation, and I hope you are looking forward to this new chapter of the Barony’s online presence as much as I am!
From the Newcomer Point Coordinator for Pennsic 46, Baroness Desiderata Drake
Did you know that there will be an official Newcomers Point at Pennsic this year? It will be across from Troll in the same tent as the Watch (where Lost & Found used to be). We’ll be there to help answer newcomers’ questions about Pennsic and the SCA in general, as well as running a scavenger hunt for newcomers.
But none of this will be possible without the help of volunteers. AEthelmearc is known for being friendly and welcoming to newcomers, so please sign up for a one hour shift to help new people whilst sitting in the shade (and charging your phone).
AEthelmearc is sponsoring Saturday, 8/5 from 10am – 6pm, and so far, Her Highness Juliana, Their Excellencies of the Bog, and Her Excellency of the Rhydderich Hael are the only ones who have signed up for shifts. Since we anticipate it to be a busy day, we hope to have at least 2 people per shift. The following shifts are still available on AEthelmearc Day:
10a-11a (2 people)
11a-12p (1 person)
12p-1p (2 people)
1p-2p (2 people)
4p-5p (1 person)
5p-6p (1 person)
There are also many other shifts available during both peace week and war week. Please send an email to newcomer@pennsicwar.org with your name and phone number to sign up for a shift.
Thank you!
