Youth Practice
Due to weather and site being wet. Youth Combat is canceled today. If any youth want to practice before WP, I will be having a practice at my house on Wednesday, May 16th.

Fencing Practice Cancelled Due to Weather
There will be no practice today since it has been raining since yesterday with no signs of stopping.
There will also be no practice next Sunday due to War Practice. The field will be open Friday and Saturday so come out and fence as much as you want.
We will resume practice Sunday May 27 at Washington Blvd after the Barony Meeting.

Yes, it is Mother’s Day. Yes, it may rain; if it does, we may cancel this week’s A&S. Call me for verification if you wish, I will also post on FB.

Tomorrow/Sunday is A&S in BMDL, and this week’s class is on modern fletching, and will be taught by Master Urho Waltterinen. This is only the second time that Urho has taught for us, so please take advantage of this rare opportunity. Because this is a time-consuming process, as we must wait for the glue to dry, we are starting a little earlier than usual at 12:30. All of the jigs, glue, shafts, feathers and all the other things will be brought for us to learn on. Thanks, Urho!!

Archery Practice Canceled Due to Weather Predictions
Due to the weather predictions for this Sunday (May 13th) we will not be having archery practice. 
Next week is War Practice, so we will be up at Coopers Lake for the event. Please come an join us there. (we will not be at Highland Park next week, May 20th)

May Barony Meeting – NEW DATE
Due to the third Sunday of the month falling on the final day of War Practice, I am moving the Barony Meeting to the following week, 27 May 2018. I realize that this is Memorial Day Weekend but the next available date wouldn’t be until June, which is too late. The meeting will start at 2:00 p.m. and will be at the Summer Fighter Practice site at the small park at the intersection of Washington Blvd and Allegheny River Blvd.

Baronial Baldrics for Pennsic!
Greetings to all Debatable Landers from your Heavy Weapons Unit Commander!
Come join us in making new Baronial baldrics! On Wednesday, May 16 and Wednesday, May 23, from 7:30 – 9:30 there will be special sewing circles at Mistress Ts’vee’a’s house (5167 Rosecrest Dr. Pgh 15201) to turn ordinary gold fabric and comet patches into Baronial Baldrics! Our goal is to provide baldrics for various gentles representing the BMDL in various martial activities at Pennsic. With your help, the BMDL will stand out in glory!
