Henry VIII – Friday Night

Greetings All!

It’s Shakespeare Movie Night! On Friday, August 20th we’ll show Henry VIII
(BBC Production) starting at 8:15pm, followed by a chat after the movie.
Due to the high level of community transmission of COVID in our area, this
showing will be online only. This is also the final Shakespeare Movie
night (for now).

He was a man of an unbounded stomach. This performance features the BBC
Production. We hope to see you there! Watch from the comfort of your living
room via the AEther or join us at Alaric & Elsbeth’s. Some come to take
their ease and sleep an act or two.

The Merry Wives of Windsor – Tonight!

Greetings All!

It’s Shakespeare Movie Night! On Friday, July 23rd we’ll show The Merry Wives of Windsor (BBC Production) starting at 8:15pm, followed by a chat after the movie. We’re offering in person gatherings, some outdoors, weather permitting.

Better three hours too soon than a minute too late. This performance features the BBC Production. We hope to see you there! Watch from the comfort of your living room via the AEther or join us at Alaric & Elsbeth’s. Thou are the Mars of malcontents.

If you plan to join us in person, you must be fully vaccinated (2 weeks past your last shot) per request of the homeowners. In person attendees must notify me in advance (email: alaric (at) pobox (dot) com, or Alaric #9264 on Discord) that you plan to attend (don’t show up at the door). I’ll provide the address when you request to attend in person. In person requests must be made no later than 5pm on Friday, July 23rd.

Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to try to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events. By participating in the in-person events of the SCA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks. You agree to take any additional steps to protect your own health and safety and those under your control as you believe to be necessary.

Comedy of Errors – Tonight!

It’s Shakespeare Movie Night! On Friday, June 11th we’ll show A Comedy of Errors (with the Flying Karamazov Brothers) starting at 8:15pm, followed by a chat after the movie. We’re moving the times later as we’ll be offering limited in-person gathering outdoors.

It’s Shakespeare Movie Night! Tonight, May 21st we’ll be showing Romeo and Juliet starting at 8:15pm, followed by a chat after the movie. We’re moving the times later as we’ll be offering gathering outdoors..

Do you bite your thumb at us, sir? This performance features players from Stratford, Canada. We hope to see you there! Watch from the comfort of your living room via the AEther or join us at the home of Ts’vee’a and Becca in Stanton Heights. Parting is such sweet sorrow that I shall say goodnight till it be morrow.

If you attended a prior Shakespeare Movie Night, the Zoom room information is the same.

We’re planning to be outdoors since the weather looks promising. Bring your own chair to watch the movie! Let me know in advance if you plan to attend so we can set up the screen and projector so there is enough room for everyone to see! You must be vaccinated (and 2 weeks past your final shot).

It’s Shakespeare Movie Night! Tonight, Friday, May 7th we’ll be showing Merchant of Venice starting at 8:15pm, followed by a chat after the movie.

All that glisters is not gold. This performance stars Al Pacino. We hope to see you there! Watch from the comfort of your living room via the AEther or join us at the home of Ceindrech and Libby, in Monroeville.

If you plan to join us in person, you must be fully vaccinated (2 weeks past your last shot) per request of the homeowners. There is a limit of 13 people total and masks must be worn. In person attendees must notify me in advance (email: alaric (at) pobox (dot) com, or Alaric #9264 on Discord) that you plan to attend (don’t show up at the door). I’ll provide the address when you request to attend in person. In person requests must be made no later than 5pm on Friday, May 7th.

Greetings All!

It’s Shakespeare Movie Night! A horse! a horse! my kingdom for a horse!. On Friday, April 23rd we’ll be showing Richard III starting at 8:00pm, followed by a chat after the movie. We’re moving the times later in preparation for some outdoor / in-person showings over the next few weeks.

The Taming of the Shrew – Friday

Greetings All!

We will have rings and things and fine array! On Friday, March 26th we’ll be showing The Taming of the Shrew starting at 7:30pm, followed by a chat until 10:30pm. This performance, directed by William Ball, is “a rowdy commedia dell’arte production incorporating slapstick, pratfall, and earthy humor”. We hope to see you there!
