Thank you Baroness Isabel for serving as our Barony’s Minister of Arts and Sciences. In the beforetimes when we had events, it was good to see you and your deputies there, reaching out to newcomers and established artisans in the Barony to organize us to work together. In these times when we are all more isolated for safety, it is more difficult to band together in the same ways that we used to.
During my term, I hope to provide direct support to both individual artisans and guilds, to draw out our best work and try to draw us together in spirit. We will do what we can for each other and for the Barony, like the friendly neighbors we are.
I am grateful for this opportunity to serve the Barony. Please, all of you, feel free to reach out to me if you think there is any way I can help you with your arts and research.
Unto the populace of the Debatable Lands, greetings from Kameshima Zentarō Umakai, Baronial Webminister!
My term as Webminister ends at the next Baronial Business meeting, April 3rd, AS LIII (2019), and while I am intending to seek a second term in the position, the Barony is always looking for good people to step up and take positions of leadership!
If you are interested in the position, please submit your letter of intent to email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org sometime before the beginning of the aforementioned meeting. Included in your letter should be your qualifications for the position, as well as what if any plans you have for improving the Barony’s web presence.
If you have any questions about the requirements of the position, please contact me at email@example.com!
(A gentle reminder: email addresses have been sanitized to prevent bot spam; please clean the email addresses in your mail client before trying to send!)
In continued honor and service,
Kameshima Zentarō Umakai
Following much avid discussion in the officer meeting, a vote was taken and your new Webminister in Master Kameshima Zentarou Umakai!
This is still Ishiyama writing right now, but I will be meeting with Master Kameshima in the near future to hand off responsibility for the site and this blog. He and his deputy Lady Kathryn have some big plans for the web site, so if you have ideas or needs make sure to talk to them soon!
It has been an honor to serve the Barony as its webminister, and my thanks to my deputy Master Broom.
At last night’s Officer’s meeting Elizabeth Parker was selected to be our new Chatelaine and Baroness Anna Eisenkopf was chosen as our new Baronial Mistress of the Lists. Vivant!
We would like to thank the outgoing Chatelaine, Lady Edana the Red, and the outgoing Mistress of the Lists, Baroness Elizabeth Arrowsmith, for their service in those positions. Your work was, and is, very much appreciated. Thank you.
A reminder, tonight is our bi-monthly Officer’s Meeting. We will start at 8:00 p.m. and the meeting room is Porter Hall A18B.

Hello Debatable Lands!
We would like to thank Meesteres Odriana for her work and dedication as Baronial Signet. As she has taken up a new role as Seneschal of these fine Lands, she has retired as Signet.
Please welcome The Honorable Lady Rachel Dalicieux, new citizen of the Barony, as your new Baronial Signet. As always, we are humbled and amazed by the talent of the scribes in these lands. If any scribes would like to contribute to the Barony’s scrolls, please reach out to THL Rachel. She will be giving more detail directly.
Vivant to THL Rachel and Meesteres Odriana!
In Levitate et Caritate,
Baron Brandubh and Baroness Hilda
Tonight’s Officer’s Meeting is being RESCHEDULED!!!!
This morning we were made aware of a visit to CMU’s campus by Hilary Rodham Clinton that will be today at 6:00 p.m. This pretty much makes parking on or near campus impossible and we were unable to find an acceptable alternate venue with such short notice.
We will be rescheduling this meeting for next Wednesay on CMU’s campus from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The location will be announced within the next couple of days.
If you were submitting a budget request tonight, please send that to the Seneschal, Odriana, via email (firstname.lastname@example.org). The Officers can then review those requests in advance of next week. This is particularly important if you will be unable to attend the rescheduled meeting. There will be no vote before the meeting to allow additional commentary by the populace.
We apologize for any inconvenience and for the short notice. If you have any questions or need more information, please contact the Seneschal directly.

Greetings to the folks in these Debatable Lands.
April 6th is the next officers meeting and a part of that meeting will be to discuss and vote on the budget for next year. If there are expenses for the barony that should be paid for by the barony, bring a list of items and estimated cost to the budget meeting.
Also, I would ask that you please that same list to exchequer at debatablelands dot org, ahead of time. If I have that list ahead of time, it will help me to prepare for the meeting, and also speed up the meeting.
As a reminder only members of the financial committee can vote on budget items, but the requests and input can be from anyone.
