Hello all!
I have some exciting news from the chatelaine office. We’re gearing up for all activities in 2023 – demos, parades, classes and more! I’m excited to help more people find our game and find their niche here.
If you’d like to help or be a deputy chatelaine, shoot an email over to chatelaine@debatablelands.org. The more folks that volunteer, the more we can do!
If theres an SCA topic you’d like an intro level or higher class on, please also send an email to chatelaine@debatablelands.org. My job is to help folks explore their interests in the SCA, I would be remiss to not take suggestions!

Archery canceled 11/20
With all other martial practices canceled tomorrow due to the cold, archery is also canceled.
In other news, we’re working on finding a site for shooting in the winter that’s closer to the city. Stay tuned here for an announcement on when and where indoor archery will take place!
Fencing Practice Cancelled 11/20
It’s going to be too cold to fence safely, so no practice this week, see you next week at Washington Blvd.
December 4 will start our use of our indoor winter site. The same one as last year Ace Axe Throwing in Homestead.

Heavy practice 11/20 canceled
Due to the forecasted high of 27 degrees, we will cancel heavy practice on Sunday 11/20. We are going to be returning to our indoor site the first weekend of December. If the weather cooperates and we havr have enough interest, we will hold our last outdoor practice next week.

LAST Reminder: Nominating Meeting at Harvest Revel Nov 13th (w/ Deadlines)

We’re looking forward to seeing all the activities at the Harvest Revel on Sunday. (especially the pie recipes…. don’t forget yours!) Read more here, including the updated schedule.
Reminder that the Nominating Meeting for the Baronial Election is taking place during the Harvest Revel. It begins at 1 pm. No nominations will be accepted after the Nominating Meeting ends. It won’t take very long, so be sure to be there by 1pm, or else send your nomination into us ahead of time by emailing Baron@debatablelands.org (His Excellency will respond if he received your email!).
Also please remember that, for those Debatable Landers who are not automatically eligible receive a ballot: Sunday, Nov 13th, is the last day to request one.
People who will automatically receive a ballot in the mail are: SCA members (as of Dec 1st) that live within Debatable Lands zip codes (our territory), who are at least 17 years old as of the tally (approx. mid-March, exact date TBD). Please remember to check that the address the Corporate membership office has in their files for you is correct.
